The choice is yours. Approval and Decline are equally available. You can withdraw approval later, and withdrawing does not automatically delete the student's learning records.
Guardian approval
How guardian approval works
SPARC asks for a guardian's approval before a student under 18 can create an account. You do not make that decision on this public page. SPARC sends you a private link for the student who invited you.
- The student starts the request.
They enter their guardian's email in the SPARC app and receive a six-character code. - You receive a private email.
Open the link in that email and compare its code with the code on the student's phone. - You review and choose.
Read what the account will use, then approve or decline freely. Nothing is selected for you.
If you approve
The student can finish creating the account
SPARC can then store the account and learning records needed for study, backup, progress and approved online features.
If you decline
The under-18 account is not created
The student can send a new request later. Declining does not enrol you in anything or create a payment.
Account approval is not payment approval. If the student later wants to buy Lara Assist or Lara Tutor, SPARC sends you a separate request showing the exact price and access period. SPARC purchases do not renew automatically.
What information does SPARC use?
For an approved account, SPARC may store the student's sign-in details, study choices, answers, scores, progress, mocks, goals, support messages and the technical records needed to run and protect the service.
Approved records may be backed up and synced through SPARC's protected infrastructure. Lara Assist and Tutor may send a question and limited learning context to an AI provider when those features are used. Normal Lara prompts are designed not to include the student's account email or full name.
For the full detail, read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
I no longer have access to the guardian email
If you previously approved an account and saved the one-time recovery code, you can use it to verify a new email. If you have never approved an account, ask the student to send a new request instead.

Checking your private link
SPARC is opening the correct guardian request. The private part of the link has already been removed from the address bar.

Account request
Review this account request
A student is waiting for your decision. First, make sure this request came from the student you know.
Compare this with the code on the student's phone. If the codes do not match, decline or close this page.
What approval allows
See exactly how the student's information is handled
- Account information: email and name, study choices, answers, scores, progress, mocks, goals, support messages and the technical records needed to run and secure the service.
- Cloud backup and sync: eligible account and learning records can be stored on SPARC's protected Supabase and self-hosted infrastructure so they can sync and be restored.
- Lara AI: Lara Assist and Tutor send the question and limited learning context needed for a reply through OpenRouter. Current model choices may be supplied by Anthropic, DeepSeek or Qwen. SPARC is designed not to put the student's account email or full name in normal Lara prompts.
- Payments: Paystack handles checkout. Every purchase for a student under 18 needs separate guardian approval and does not renew automatically.
- Notifications: after approval, the account may register a push token and receive allowed study or account notifications.
You or the student can request an export or deletion. You can withdraw approval using the private management link sent after approval. Withdrawal stops restricted online features but does not automatically erase learning data.
Read SPARC's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, or email support@sparc.ng.
Guardian controls
Manage your approval
Withdraw approval
This pauses the student's restricted online features. It does not automatically delete their learning records.
Change my guardian email
If you are the same guardian using a new address, SPARC verifies the new email before changing anything.
Hand over to a different guardian
The new guardian must review and approve independently. Your approval stays active until the handover is complete.
Email change
Confirm your new email
This changes the active guardian address only after you confirm it.
Guardian handover
Review the handover request
You are being asked to become the active guardian for a student's SPARC account. Nothing changes unless you approve for yourself.
What becoming the guardian allows
- SPARC stores the student's sign-in details, study choices, answers, scores, progress, mocks, goals, support messages and necessary technical records.
- Approved records can be backed up and synced through SPARC's protected infrastructure.
- Lara Assist and Tutor may send the question and limited learning context needed for a reply through OpenRouter. Normal prompts are designed not to include the student's account email or full name.
- Every under-18 purchase still needs separate approval showing the exact amount and access period. Purchases do not renew automatically.
You can withdraw later using your management link. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
